How can we help your students improve their writing?
To help your students become better writers, our tutors provide instruction complementary to students’ classroom experience, helping them interpret assignments and your comments, discovering and clarifying their ideas, and assessing the effectiveness of their own writing. Tutors take a hands-off approach to ensure that the changes belong to the students, providing feedback and asking questions to help students clarify their ideas over the course of the session.
The UWC provides support for students of all levels wishing to improve their writing skills. From brainstorming to revising and punctuation to organization, our tutors meet with students one-on-one to assist them in all aspects of the writing process. A typical session will run approximately 30 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and tutor availability.
