Victoria Farayola

Victoria Farayola is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Florida, specializing in comparative politics and international relations. Her research focuses on communal conflict, conflict resolution, and social movements, with particular attention to the farmer-herder conflicts in Sub-Saharan Africa. She examines how local conflict dynamics, state responses, and collective mobilization shape patterns of violence, protest, and political change. Methodologically, her work combines qualitative fieldwork with quantitative analysis to study conflict management, grassroots peacebuilding, and the role of institutions in mediating social and political contention. She is currently an instructor of record for ENC 1101: Expository and Argumentative Writing with the University Writing Program.
