Program

Set against the evocative landscapes of Dublin, Galway, and the West
of Ireland, this two week program blends academic inquiry with cultural
immersion. We will examine how stories shape our understanding of history,
identity, and place, as well as the heart of Ireland’s legendary storytelling
tradition, where every pub, castle, and cobblestone street has a tale to tell.
Students will analyze Irish myths and folktales as cultural texts, explore the
evolution of oral and written storytelling traditions, and reflect on the role of
narrative in shaping both personal and collective memory.
