Airin Akter is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at the University of Florida. She completed her B.Sc and M.S. from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The specialization of her Ph.D. is climate science and her research interest encompasses Climatic hazards especially Tropical Cyclones, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing (RS).
