Demi Zhang is a linguistics PhD student at UF. She is actively involved in two labs: the Brain, Language & Bilingualism Lab, guided by Dr. Edith Kaan, and the NLP & Culture Lab, guided by Dr. Bonnie Dorr. Her research focuses on code-switching, cognitive control, and natural language processing. Before joining UF, Demi worked as a research assistant at Vanderbilt University. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the world through budget travel, sometimes on her black Cannondale gravel bike.
