The University of Florida Writing Program recognizes that graduate students need support when tackling masters theses, doctoral proposals, and dissertations. Both graduate students and faculty can need help in turning research into publications. To address these needs, the Writing Program develops and offers workshops that introduce students to tactics for planning, writing, and revising their research to produce polished, clear, and highly efficient prose. This series focuses on the needs of UF’s graduate and post-graduate students and faculty and others interested in an introduction to academic and professional writing. All UF students and faculty are invited to participate!
Currently, workshops are hosted by departments and programs. If your department would be interested in hosting an academic or professional writing workshop or seminar for its students and faculty on these or other writing topics, please fill out around survey and Dr. Mickey Schafer, our Writing in the Disciplines and Outreach Coordinator, will be in touch with you.
