About
In Cardiff, Wales, experience and take part in the legal and social transitions of a British and European capital city post-Brexit and post-EU. In this program, students will earn 6 credits. Three of these will be in ENC3254: Writing in International Affairs, a 6,000-word writing course where students will research and report on a major global issue relating to the experience. Three will be through ENC4930: International Internship, for which students will be take part in work study at the Cardiff Civil and Family Justice Centre, where they will work with clients and take part in legal proceedings.
Location
Cardiff is the capital as well as the legal and cultural center of Wales. It is a major UK city, with a metro-area population of over 1.5 million people. With Cardiff Castle overlooking the City Centre, Cardiff is the social and political hub for all of south Wales. With an abundance of national museums, professional sports, and performance arts, students will be immersed in the vibrance and diversity of Welsh and British cultures.
Excursions
Excursions include a visit to the Welsh Parliament and to the Crown Buildings (site of the Welsh Government), as well as extracurricular activities with local enforcement agencies and other local organizations.
Housing
Students will stay in homestay accommodations in a shared room/bathroom with another UF student.

PRICING
Undergraduate Program Fee: $8,261
Graduate Program Fee: $8,372
A $395 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the program is due at the time of application. The remaining fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure. If you receive financial aid, you can defer payment until it disburses. Deferment decision will be based on the amount of aid to be received.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Tuition for 6 credits, breakfast and dinner through homestay accommodations, airport transport upon arrival, some excursions, international health insurance, and emergency medical assistance.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Round-trip airfare, visa expenses, lunch, in-country travel after the first week (approximately $20 a week), additional personal travel, and personal expenses.
FINANCIAL AID
Most financial aid that you would normally receive on campus for the selected term abroad can be applied toward the cost of this study abroad program; however, all financial aid eligibility is determined by The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA). You must speak with SFA to determine what aid can be applied to the cost of this study abroad program, including scholarships.
